| Introduction | I am the pastor of Garris Chapel UMC near LaGrange, NC. I have been married to Diane Vinson Mitchell for 40 years. We are blessed with two sons and daughters-in-law, as well as three granddaughters. In November 2011 I was diagnozed with pancreatic cancer. The day after thanksgiving I had surgery called the Whipple procedure. In January I began a regiment of chemo and radiation. In February, we contracted a very serious bacteria that caused us to stop treatment. Since then, we go for blood tests and scans to determine each new step of my journey. |
