Noel and Kaye, on a life journey - PART DEUX!

Introduction	Noel & Kaye pursued an interest and joined the Peace Corps for service in the southeast African country of Malawi. Join us as we continue to relay our stories, joys, experiences, frustrations and pleasures on this blog. Malawi is one of Africa’s most densely populated countries with a population of about 12 million in a land area roughly the size of Indiana. English is one of the official languages, though it is not commonly used outside major urban centers. More than 50 percent of the people speak Chichewa, the other official language, and almost everyone understands it. Malawi is predominantly a Christian country, but it also has a sizeable Islamic population, mostly located along the southern lake shores. And now, we continue our African experiences by jointly enlisting to support the needs of the Ugandan people through the combined collaboration of the US Peace Corps and Global Health Initiatives for a twelve month assignment in Mbarara, Uganda.
