| Introduction | 1 Corinthians 13, also known as the Love chapter in the Bible, is familiar to many. One of my life verses comes from this chapter, verse 8a “Love never fails.” The chapter ends with these words: “And now these three remain: faith, hope and love. But the greatest of these is love.” On New Year’s Day, 2018 I selected a one word theme for 2018 using an online tool. The word that was selected for me was Love. It has been a guiding word through the challenges of breast cancer treatment and other life events in 2018. During treatment I found a growing number of friends and family members who stood with me and shared their love. My desire to keep them updated on my progress and encouraged in their own journeys led to a weekly update and has now evolved into the trial of this blog. Finding a new outlet for writing and sharing ideas helped me through some of the toughest days and I hope now may help others in the quest to find the deeper meaning of life. |
