| Introduction | Spotted by the Art Teacher at the early age of 9, and sent to the local Art College for part time tution I begain full time Art Education and Life Studies at only 15. I feel I was lucky enough to catch the tail end of proper Art tution. Later I undertook a 12 month course in anatomy. I work from a large purpose built studio and I am a memeber of the Local Society, often on the judging committee, and have exhibited widely, exhibiting painting at the Royal Acadamy and I was invited to exhibit sculture with James Butler RA in Cork Street, London. I found it flattering that someone I consider a brilliant artist, Norman Blamey RA, took an interest in my work and invited me to his studio, also by Sir Hugh Casson, past President of the Royal Acadamey, who self effacingly said that 'I was very much in a different league to him' saying " You are what I call a proper painter". |
