About me

IntroductionWe are second and third generation dairy producers on this farm. Our herd is mostly made up of registered Jersey cows. We currently have 425 producing cows and are planning future expansion with our own replacements. In addition to producing milk, we also farm about 600 acres, growing corn, alfalfa, pasture and grains for our girls. Our production of crops is dependent on irrigation water. Our area is in the High Desert area of Oregon with an average of 10-12 inches of water. We have added pivot irrigation to most of our fields to practice water conservation and improve crop yields. Our grade A dairy is located north of Vale, Oregon near the foothills of Cottonwood Mountain. Here we experience all four seasons with winter temps dropping below zero and summer temperatures climbing over 100 degrees.
