| Introduction | Hello my name is Tanmayo. I am an abstract artist living on the Sunshine Coast, on the east coast of Australia. My paintings explore space and colour, juxtaposing flat planes of spatial expression with focused interludes of rich vibrancy. I use colour playfully and the flat spaces generate a sense of ordered limitlessness. My paintings evolve through a process of overpainting which culminates in bringing order out of chaos. The art making process is as important for me as the final product. I often focus on nature and the environment and my inner knowing governs the outcome of the finished work.
