Introduction | This blog was started when I was living in Chicago, 4,000 miles away from home and just separated from my husband. It charters the long drawn out process of trying to move back to the UK with our two sons - and how we are dealing with life now we are finally home, after such a long time away. I didn't start the blog with a clear sense of direction (which is pretty obvious if you have read it from the beginning), I just enjoyed trying to amuse myself by writing and provide a one stop shop for updating key friends back in the UK on my current situation and state of mind. A summary of my current state of mind? Anything is possible and all challenges ultimately represent unheralded opportunities. But most importantly...who needs botox, when a heavy fringe does the trick at a fraction of the price? |
Interests | Music, movies, dancing, writing, hanging out with my girlfriends, making a complete fool of myself with my children, guess I should say Working Out as I'm a Master Trainer, laughing till my sides ache and I'm in danger of testing the limits of my weakened bladder |
Favorite Movies | Slumdog Millionaire, Diving Bell and the Butterfly, Martha (German original of 'No Reservations'), Whale Rider, Once, Billy Elliot, The Kiterunner |
Favorite Music | Coldplay, The Killers, Kanye West, Radiohead, MGMT, The Doves, Adele, Muse, Kasabian, all sorts of pop dirge and far too many good bands to remember/mention. If I can Ceroc to it or sob to it, it's on the playlist. |
Favorite Books | For the Love of Anne, A thousand splendid suns, The kiterunner, Three cups of tea, The Book Thief, City of Thieves, Room |
