| Introduction | I was born in 1970 and wanted to be a writer from Junior School (1975-1981) onwards. I wrote my first book in pen and ink, "Tales From the Shatm", at age 10. I made a few small waves as a writer in 1997 with the fanzine "Really Quite Cosmic" and the magazines "Eclipse" and "Classic Television". In 1998 I presented a segment of Channel Four Television's "Right to Reply", interviewing Doctor Who Magazine editor Gary Gillatt, BBC Books editor Stephen Cole, and Who Shop proprietor Alexandra Saul. In 2002, the original edition of my children's novel "Anne Droyd and Century Lodge" was published by CK Publishing Ltd and topped the Bolton book chart. In 2004 it was republished as an 'Asperger adventure' by Jessica Kingsley Publishers, alongside my autobiography "The Feeling's Unmutual". In 2006, I appeared on the BBC documentary "My Science-Fiction Life". I have been a guest on BBC Radio Four's "Saturday Live". In 2022 my BBC audiobook "Doctor Who---The Resurrection Plant" was published by BBC Audio. |
