| Introduction | Hello, my name is Al Gore and I am running for President. I was born in Washington, D.C. on March 31, 1948. I'm currently 63 years old. I was raised in a Southern Baptist household where I was taught the importance of a good education. Thus I went on to graduate from Boston University and later graduate school at Harvard University with a major in Government. Afterwards I enlisted in the military for four years. Then with much persistence I became a member of the U.S. House of Representatives for Tennessee in the 4th district for 6 years and later in the 6th district for 2 years before finally becoming a Senator. I served as a Tennessee Senator for 8 years before becoming the Vice President of the United States from 1993 to 2001. I now seek election as the President of the United States. |
