| Introduction | I am a library technician and artist with a passion for lifelong learning and community building. As a small child the library became a safe space for me and I spent my teen years at the library surrounded with piles of books, my kids have grown up in and around libraries. Libraries have become so much more than just a refuge for books and booklovers. As vibrant community hubs that provide free services, public libraries are the centre of the modern village. Every library is made up of stories and not just the ones on the shelves, but the ones walking around. Books do not make the place alive; it takes people to do that - Jennis |
