About me

Introduction	I was born in ND in 1944, married the love of my life in 1965. I am a mother of three adult children and grandma of two. I've been a Registered Nurse, Jr. High Special Education teacher’s aid, British 'Montessori' preschool assistant, instructor of communication skills (Parent/Human Effectiveness Training), certified Massage Therapist/Therapeutic Touch, ordained minister & a group meditation & ceremony facilitator. In 1986, I published a book of sacred poetic messages called, 'FANNERS OF THE FLAME'. My writing is also published in 'ECHOES FROM THE LAKES' & 'ECHOES, STONES & WATER RINGS'. I have been interested in holistic healing, public speaking, reading, writing, backpacking, camping, photography and painting. In 1967-1976 my husband and I traveled and lived in Europe. I continually record inspirational messages and visions 'experienced' when meditating; this began Feb 21, 1975 upon the completion reading the entire Bible. These messages are given to me by 'the still small voice within,’ I refer to it as the voice of 'I AM THAT I AM' or ‘Higher SELF.’ This indwelling seed of the 'I AM' Source within my heart center awoke and I was given the name J AN ISTARA.
