| Introduction | I am a muser. I often muse about things. Serious things to be sure. I am afraid that sometimes my musings transcend the boundaries of what people think should not be. In 1957, while pasturing goats I saw the Sputnik, and thought of going to the moon. Musing is ambition whose fulfillment sometimes gets delayed. In youth, I imagined myself joining biking tours but actually learned to bike at age 40. I imagined myself joining the Grand Prix, but actually drove a motorcycle at age 50. I also thought of driving a ten-wheeler truck, or pilot a plane. These were thoughts I have indulged in during my moments of wandering. I never thought of being the best; just what I could be. |
