| Introduction | I grew up in Vermont and remember the first garden I was ever involved in; my hippy parents decided they wanted a garden, and no small garden either. It was gigantic. We also happen to have a wild apple orchard in our "backyard", which was way more like a massive field, and there were cows too, that I played with and fed apples to... and ever since that 8th year of my life, I have been interested in gardening and farming. I moved to the Bay Area in the late 80's after high school and an attempt, albeit failed, at college. Tried college again, tried marriage - neither worked for me at the time; left the country, fell in love with Guatemla and stayed for many years, met a Brasilean, had a baby, and found myself back here with the baby, but not the Brasilean. I'm a single mom, making another attempt at school, 3 more classes to go until degree time and falling madly in love with urban homesteading! Which brings us to present times and an attempt at blogging |
