| Introduction | A small virus has created a huge alteration to our global perspective, and "social distancing" has entered our vocabulary. It's a term that's foreign and, mystifying to us because it puts up barriers to who we are are as human beings. The thoughts, ideas and input of those around us help us to define ourselves and to determine how we fit into the tapestry of those who inhabit this planet. So then, my motive for publishing this blog is, in a small way, to lessen the distance that currently, out of necessity, separates us. To refrain from close contact with other people means that we do not absorb their humanity and, by extension, understand more about ourselves.. In this blog, share your perspectives about what is happening to you and to those who are dear to you because of the environment in which we must exist today. Unfortunately, too many forums on the Internet are reduced to name calling, inappropriate language and "take it or leave it" opinions. This blog will be monitored to ensure this won't happen. Add your thoughts and share your words. Ideas can, and have, changed the world. |
