| Introduction | I am a writer who has worked in a number of genres. Before turning to writing full-time, I spent 15 years working as a film producer and development executive for the director Jonathan Demme. I produced the films SUBWAY STORIES and ULEE’S GOLD. I turned to screenplay writing after I realized that instead of helping others develop their ideas, I wanted to develop my own. My first screenplay was purchased by 20th Century Fox. I have also worked as a journalist – I have a Masters degree from the Graduate Journalism School at Columbia – a copy writer, and copy editor. Currently I am writing for children, with two YA novels in progress as well as several picture books. I grew up in Berkeley, California and live in New Jersey with my husband and daughter. |
