Introduction	Denis J. Kelly of Westfield is the editor of the Echoes-Sentinel, which covers Long Hill Township, Warren Township and Watchung. He has been editor since 2005. Between 1996 and 2005, Kelly also contributed columns to the Madison Eagle, an Echoes-Sentinel sister newspaper. Kelly was the public relations director at the Madison Area YMCA, Madison, from 1989 to 2003. He has also worked as an editor and then a media relations specialist with Educational Testing Service (ETS), Princeton; as a reporter and editor for the Brick Town News, Brick Township, N.J.; as an information officer and editor for the R.I. Department of Mental Health, Retardation and Hospitals, Cranston, R.I., and as the reporter and editor of The Rhode Island Pendulum, East Greenwich, R.I. Kelly began as a reporter and editor of The Cowl, the student newspaper at Providence College, Providence, R.I. He received his bachelor’s degree in English from Providence College. Kelly was born and raised in Jersey City, and is a graduate of St. Aloysius School, Jersey City, and Xavier High School, New York City, N.Y.
