Introduction	Born in 1967 at Agartala, the capital of Tripura, a North Eastern province of India. On completion of school education from this capital town I graduated from Calcutta University in Science stream. Started my career as a journalist in ‘Manush Patrika’ a Bengali daily in 1989 and after one year I joined ‘Syandan Patrika, a leading Bengali Newspaper of the state as a sports reporter and now working as Sports Editor of the same paper. I also work as commentator in All India Radio and also host various programs there and in Doordarshan and private Television channels regularly. I have also been trained by faculties of Indian Institute of Mass Communication (IIMC), New Delhi. When they organized short course training for the journalists here in 1994. I got nomination for the national award organized by Sports Journalist Federation of India (SJFI) in the Bengali Feature section in 2006 for my special story series on the role of football in bringing a group of insurgents to normal life.
