| Introduction | Our organization is working toward a cause that is of pressing concern. Nationally:: more than 35 million people, including 12.6 million children, live in households that experience hunger or are at risk of experiencing it. That equates to nearly 11 percent of all households! Locally:: A 2007 study reported that an average of 1 in every 3 children go to bed hungry every night.
