| Introduction | Hi, my name is Mike. I like to travel, hike, and swim. I enjoy science topics, especially those concerning the environment. I also like to keep updated on disease organisms - which were the focus of my major. I studied Biology at SFSU with an emphasis in Clinical Science, Parasitology and Waste Water Treatment Microbiology. I also enjoy studying Ecology, Geology, Cosmology and Marine Biology. I love to travel! My favorite places are the Picos De Europa in Asturias Spain and the region in southern France around St. Jean Cap Ferrat and Eze Sur Mer. I have traveled all over Western and Eastern Europe as well as the Caribbean, South Pacific and New Zealand. In junior high and high school I attended summer school at Hawai'i Prep where I was exposed to the wonders of the ocean and Volcanology. All of my experiences have expanded and enriched my passion for the biological and geochemical cycles that govern our lives. I am further grateful for my naturalist grandparents and parents who, as teachers, exposed me to Geology and science from an early age. |
