Introduction Fr. Richard Jakubik was ordained to the priesthood on May 22, 1993, receiving a Masters of Divinity degree from St. Mary of the Lake Seminary. Fr. Jakubik is a 1989 graduate of Niles College Seminary of Loyola University, where he received a Bachelors degree in Social Work. While residing at Five Holy Martyrs Parish on the south side of Chicago from 1993 to 1994, he studied at the University of St. Mary of the Lake, completing the STB and STL Licentiate degrees in Sacred Theology. Beginning in 1994, he served as associate pastor at Our Lady of Perpetual Help for four years. For five years he served as a spiritual director at St. Joseph College Seminary and has taught high school at Archbishop Quigely Seminary from 1998-2003. In 2004, he graduated from Loyola University School of Social Work Master's Program. He is currently a resident priest at St. Francis Xavier Parish in Wilmette. He is a therapist at Charities Counseling Center in Chicago, providing individual, marriage,and family counseling. Fr. Rich is completing a doctoral degree in Clinical Psychology at the Illinois School of Professional Psychology - Argosy University.
