| Introduction | Norm Lever took part in 7 amphibious landings of which 5 were in New Guinea to clear the beaches of Japanese resistance. The other 2 being the first US Forces to return to the Philippines. The 6th Rangers were portrayed in the movie "The Great Raid" where 511 POW'S, from the Bataan Death March, were rescued. Today, it still remains the largest rescue mission in United States Military history. |
