| Introduction | After graduating from the University of Washington with a degree in Communications I was swept into the Seattle Internet start-up scene where I managed all of the online community development efforts for a start-up called Judy's Book. This is where I first became interested in online technologies and how they influence and affect the practice of PR and marketing. I recognized how these new technologies were changing PR and joined Porter Novelli to work at the forefront of the new PR industry. My use of online technologies for PR includes blogs, social media, RSS feeds, online news and web measurement tools. I'm particularly interested in the convergence of old and new media and how to incorporate new technologies into the programs we drive for clients like Coinstar, Wizards of the Coast (Magic: The Gathering, Magic Online, Gleemax) Dream Dinners and Emily's Chocolates. Prior to Porter Novelli I also worked on the branded food team at Publicis Dialog for accounts like Nestle and Lean Cuisine. |
