| Occupation | attorney |
| Location | Chicago, United States |
| Introduction | A mick/spic combo hailing from Huntington Harbor on the north side of Surf City, USA, via UCLA and then USD law school, but now residing on the South Side of Chicago and still adjusting to life in a city that loves hot dogs, (mostly) pathetic baseball teams, changes of season, snowfall and a waterfront to the east. |
| Interests | UCLA sports, volleyball, aviation, Savoy-style Lindy Hop, jury trials, roadrunners |
| Favorite movies | The Magnificent Ambersons, Casablanca, Singin' in the Rain, Double Indemnity, High Noon, The Magnificent 7, Belle Epoque, Shakespeare in Love, Jackass |
| Favorite music | A mishmash. Love classical music in general and Mozart in particular, especially the piano concertos and the three operas with libretto by Da Ponte. Love the Tin Pan Alley songwriters (Gershwins at the top) and the singers-Sinatra, Fitzgerald, et al. Love the sounds of KROQ circa 1980-1990: X, Elvis Costello, Blasters, Plimsouls, Sex Pistols, Clash, Jam, Madness, English Beat, REM. Guilty pleasure: 70's pop (blame my friggin' mom and dad, who used to play Helen Freakin' Reddy, Olivia Newton-John and other certified musical dead-enders whose crap music still gets my toes tapping. |
| Favorite books | Almost impossible to say. Anything by Jane Austen, but I probably like Mansfield Park the most; almost anything by Dickens with Bleak House and David Copperfield my favorites. Raymond Chandler is another favorite (Farewell My Lovely), as is James Ellroy (L.A. Confidential.) I also love Fate is the Hunter by Ernie Gann, The Mutiny on the Bounty trilogy by Nordhoff & Hall, The Caine Mutiny by Wouk, Treasure Island by RLS, the entire Aubrey/Maturin series by O'Brian, Paul Johnson's Modern Times, anything by John Keegan and P.J. O'Rourke. |
