| Introduction | Having started off as a fresh mind in IT in the year 2000, here I stand, 10 years down the line, as an APPS DBA. I had an excellent opportunity to manage Oracle Apps Database on Windows platform, which gave me rare insights into the way in which Apps tech stack components work, the issues and the resolution. Rebooting windows was never an option to fix an issue and I must say that we had complex Apps instances and we did achieve availability targets on Windows.
