| Introduction | I am a mom that became very frustrated trying to find care for my son. I was incredibly lucky to have an employer that understood the whirlwind of new motherhood and allowed me to work part time for 3 months before returning to full time work. I spent endless hours searching the web, calling day cares, talking with directors, searching endlessly for the specific hours and type of care that I needed. After 4 front and back pages of notes and countless hours on the telephone I was exhausted, but eventually found my perfect day care. I don’t want anyone to go through the stress that I did and have used my expertise to build a web site. I was and I am determined to make Birmingham a more mom – friendly city. I'll start with ChildCareBirmingham.com, a much needed searchable database with filters designed around the questions that I wanted to know during my day care search. The site if full of information and I post the articles from the site here on our blog: childcarebirmingham.blogspot.com.
