| Introduction | Having tried the grass on the other side I've come home to South Africa and I'm staying! I wrote a book on our experiences having tried to start a new life in the UK. I'm posting it chapter by chapter in this blog and hoping it'll help any South Africans who are trying to come to a decision about their future in this country. I spend a large part of my day at my sewing machine. I design and create gifts from our beautiful South African Shweshwe fabric. I get a lot of orders from South Africans living overseas who are homesick for the special Shweshwe smell. Only a South African will know what that is and all the memories it evokes. |
