| Favorite music | Mostly Indian music. Anything Lata Mangeshkar (referred to as the "Nightingale of India") sings is music to my ears. I absolutely adore her and her voice. Not much of a fan of contemporary Indian music. Prefer old tunes. I also enjoy other World Music. Bought some CDs from Israel, Egypt which I enjoy. I also enjoy Asha Bhonsle (Lata's younger sister) very much....and almost all of R.D. Burman compositions (he was a genius!). I enjoy Ravi and Anoushka Shankar and try to be an audience to their Carnegie concerts. |
| Favorite books | Used to be a voracious reader at one time but not anymore. Lately Jhumpa Lahiri has caught my attention. She authored The Namesake. |
