Introduction	Kathleen P. Vermaelen earned two master’s degrees at Stony Brook University. Her work has appeared in numerous publications, including The Bangalore Review, The Trouvaille Review and The Southampton Review. Her nonfiction book Publicize This! Promoting Your Community Group or Nonprofit won a Marjorie Davies Roller Nonfiction Award in NLAPW’s 2018 Biennial Letters Competition. She teaches literature and writing to undergraduate students on Long Island.
