| Introduction | I guess this where you sort of brag about who you are and the accomplishments you've made, so I'll do the best I can to explain myself. I'm a struggling cartoonist who created "Herb and Jamaal" in 1989. It still appears in a smathering of papers in the US. I was born in Los Angeles in 1954, spent my high school days in Pasadena then later moved to Stockton when I was 40. Besides the enjoyment of drawing a nationally syndicated comic strip, I work as a youth minister in the Episcopal Church and I spend some part time hours working with the Stockton Public Library creating special events and working in Adult Literacy. Until I figure out what this blogging business is all about and what I want it to be, you'll just have to be patient and see what happens. |
| Interests | Cartooning, the Episcopal Church, boating, reading, old movies, G.I. Joes (old school)... and much more. |
| Favorite movies | Gee, where does one start? Film Noir, mysteries, romantic comedies are pretty much my favorite genre. |
| Favorite music | Jazz, particularly Latin and Brazilian Jazz. |
| Favorite books | Wing and a Prayer by Katharine Jefferts Schori |
You can punch a hole in an apple using a straw. How do you think that makes your milkshake feel?
My milkshake was already feeling pretty inferior before it saw the straw penetrate the skin of the apple, but now it feels completely vulnerable.
