| Introduction | Debra recognized the need to assist people with delivering positive career related attributes a few years ago. She obtained her undergraduate degree at the University of Tennessee. While in school, she participated in every area of the Career Center on campus. Her first teaching to low income parents in President Clinton’s Americorps Program in 1994 began her journey in the area of sharing information about careers. She continued to work with an international singing and cultural group called Up With People in 1995. She developed her love for sharing knowledge about what’s possible for young people at the Memphis Job Corps Center. Traveling to London & working with the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra in the marketing department as a part of her master’s level training at APSU, she really began to put the pieces of the career puzzle together as she witnessed how Europeans are educated and trained for their professions. Teaching public speaking, business communication, technical report writing, English & Strategies for Success, she continues to stress the importance of developing effective skills that help professionals to soar in the work world. |
