| Introduction | Embroidery is absolutely my favourite hobby - I love doing it, reading about it, learning about it, looking at it... I learnt to embroider at the age of eight, when my mum gave me a wool long-stitch deer kit. I spent weeks persevering to teach myself how to create the gorgeous picture on the front of the kit, and by the end of the project I was hooked! Almost sixteen years on, I am still stitching. My favourite styles of embroidery are ribbon work and thread painting (although I also dabble in bobbin-lace and other types of embroidery!). I own enough supplies to keep me stitching for the rest of my life... but I am constantly losing my scissors! |
