| Introduction | I'm a middle aged happily married working mother of two teenagers. I live in California, but don't belong here. Not to completely throw this state under the bus, but some of the people here are a bit "touched." I think I'd do better in Texas, Oklahoma, or Montana. I've always been a fish out of water, but I've learned to come to terms with this. I'm a conservative that teaches psychology at a state university. Need I say more! My husband and I have been married for 25 years, but have been together for 32. Our love is a deep love. The kind of love that you read about in books and long for. I'm smart because I realize exactly what I've got. So does he. I love my kids more than life itself, however I'm only a marginal mom. I'm not a very good cook. I don't like cleaning the house (but I'm very clean) and I do not iron. I think I'm good at listening and giving aid and comfort. In the end, that may be my saving grace as a mom. I'm not your typical academic. I don't like to do research, instead I like to watch reality TV. There I said it. I'm out of the closet. I'm a reality TV junkie. |
