Introduction As a young boy growing up in Rhodesia (now Zimbabwe), I had to accept that I was a second class citizen. In my I ignorance accepted this as my status in life, just like those born in slavery did not have a choice. It was only later in my teens when I started to question the status quo. If it were not for mother's hard work I would not have been educated at all and would probably have ended up on some white man's farm picking tobacco leaves. The education my mother invested in gave me a breakthrough in life. After completing Cambridge School Certificate 'O' Levels, I had excellent results, one of only 3 kids to obtain a First Division pass in the whole school. Fate immediately thrust me into a Banking career I so loved that I ended up spending 30 years in, even when I had other choices later in life. My blogs will share my experiences, good and bad that have moulded me to be the man. Along the road, there were some hilarious episodes that make me smile, even now.
