| Introduction | Who am I? When I pay attention to my own internal dialog, what I hear is a lot of childish chatter, selfish story telling, and petty ego demands. As I become aware of this discursive thought, I focus on my breathing and rise above it. This is not who I am. I am not meme machine trapped in time and projecting memories of the past into the future. Such a victim mentality may be the default position of the unconscious mind, but I this is not who we are. I have found, being close to nature help me to remember this. |
