| Introduction | My work is an exploration of how the defined boundaries of art and science have become blurred in contemporary practices. Central to this is researching artists’ methodologies in using natural elements as a medium to engage the audience. I am fascinated by the way that viewers interact with special situations and how their perceptions change when they become conscious of their own physical presence within a given space. I intend to develop my work based on my interest into the perception of the audience when it comes to their understanding of their own presence within a space and to take that inquisitive nature and provoke the question of how they see them self’s within the natural world. My work is primarily installation based as a means to engaging and involving the audience in a full immersive experience and values the audience’s perception and physical interaction within the work, not only as a reaction to it but as an integral part of the work its self. |
