| Introduction | By profession, I have worked as an apparel designer for 20+ years. Built at Parsons and torn apart by the rag trade, I have taken to collecting the vintage clothing of my choice to satisfy any aesthetic longing I have left, in my passion for fashion. I am in love with the N.Y.C. garment business of the past, a soon-to-be-extinct dinosaur; one of rolling racks wheeled across 7th Ave., of wheeling & dealing in the showrooms of the 550 & 1400 buildings, of creating original samples with master craft-persons using old world techniques. Gone forever? I wish it wasn't. |
