| Introduction | A friend of mine once described me as a "professional Geek". I have been an avid gamer since I first played Dungeons & Dragons in the early 1980's. I got into gaming because I wanted to paint the miniatures and since then, I have not looked back! I firmly embraced the inner "gamer geek" in me during the 1990's through such games as Warhammer Fantasy, Warhammer 40,000 and Magic: the Gathering, to name a few. Off and on I continued to play D&D through the years as well as other rpg systems. In the early 2000's I began playing WARMACHINE and later HORDES and these game systems have been the recent focus of my table top gaming experience. While I by no means consider myself an expert miniature painter, I do strive to paint my minis the best that I possibly can "for the table top". By that I mean my forces look presentable on a game table from a standing height and may even fair well to further scrutiny when held up close. I think this is a reasonably achievable standard to aspire to. I am always looking for ways to improve my own technique and I welcome any suggestions. |
