Introduction	Madagascar 2012 is a development project through Scouts Canada that will take place in August 2012 in the village of Ambato Boeni. The intent of this project is three-fold. First, it is about working in partnership to build a school facility in Ambato Boeni and produce development goals for an ongoing partnership. Second, it is about developing the youth within the project. From past projects, we found that youth who complete an international development project come out with a greater sense of community, as stronger leaders, and more geared towards social justice. In short, while these projects produce change half way around the world, they produce leaders within our own communities, right here in Canada. Third, this project is about education. We want everyone in Scouts Canada to be talking about this project, getting involved in learning more about the need for fresh water, for education and the idea of social justice. It’s youth development through international development and it Starts with Scouts!
