| Introduction | A time long, long ago, I was born in Wisconsin. At an early age my family moved to West Virginia where I lived until Jr. High (guess it's called middle school now!). For my teen years I lived in Columbus, Ohio. My college years were spent in Austin Texas as a Longhorn. There I learned to like spicy food and tequila! My first job in the "real" world was in the marketing department at the Headquarters of Snap-on Tools back in Wisconsin. Taking orders and later giving orders in the politicicized corporate world for 11 years made me decide I might prefer entrepeneurship. In 1986 I opened my first travel agency. My wife and I now own two agencies under the worldwide umbrella of Carlson Wagonlit. We also have three kids, a parrot that screams a lot, and a cat that pees a lot. My avocation has allowed me to travel over the past 21 years. On this blog I hope to share some of these experiences. At time to time I hope to have our travel agent specialists in our offices also contribute with their expertise. |
