Introduction I am on a mission, a mission to lose weight and find relief from Crohn's, a chronic bowel disease. I love to cook for friends, read, listen to music and spend time with my hubby. I have an interest in raw foods and juicing. I was diagnosed with Crohn's in 1997, my final year of high school. In 1999 I had 30cm of my bowel removed. I have tried the drugs, all of them. Not only did they not help they were clogging up my body with chemicals that just weren't doing my body any good. It took more than ten years to be brave enough to say 'no more' to the drug concoction. Since then, about a year and a half now, I've been searching and reading, eating and experimenting my way to better health through whole foods. The raw world has grabbed my attention and I am grateful to Angela Stokes, Victoria Boutenko, Paul Nison Brigitte Mars, Kate Wood and many more for their knowledge and willingness to share their self-healing journey. I am not 100% raw, nor do I see myself being so, but through trying raw recipes and keeping things simple I am feeling so much healthier. This is so simple yet so exciting! No drugs, just simple whole foods - who would have thought?
