Introduction	The Sensory Ecology Blog is hosted by Aran Mooney, head of the Sensory Physiology and Sensory Ecology (SPASE) Lab at the Woods Hole Oceanographic Institution. The blog was created to update you on the progress of our field projects. In this lead project we will examine the bioacoustic behavior of Hawaii's false killer and melon headed whales. This cruise involves consecutive day trips off Kona, HI (the leeward side of the Big Island). Weather is generally good over here, so we're out looking for animals to tag and monitor every day. This field trip runs from Oct 16-Nov 16, and 3 more like this are planned in the next two years.
