| Introduction | My name is Michelle. I live near Washington, D.C., with my husband, Craig; our preemie daughter, Emily; and our shih tzu-poodle, Bentley. Emily is our preemie blessing. She was born three months early, weighing one pound, eight ounces. We were told that she would enter our lives early, but we never expected her to come into the world quite so soon. This blog chronicles our experiences and lessons learned during pregnancy, hospitalization, our Neonatal Intensive Care Unit stay, and beyond.
