| Introduction | I am a graduate student at the College of Staten Island and currently looking to obtain my Masters in Childhood Education (1-6). I work for a lovely after school program at P.S. 55 and read with my youngsters whenever the opportunity presents itself. Reading allows us the opportunity to use our imaginations and share our own experiences with one another. It never ceases to amaze me how a good book can liven up the children’s spirits after a long day in school. Then again, I love to curl up with a good book at the end of a long day as well!
