| Introduction | Columbia undergrad, Columbia MBA in 2005. I've lived in Tribeca since graduation - only 2 apartments, because moving sucks. First on Reade Street and we recently moved to the second, hopefully final, apartment on Franklin. I *love* Tribeca and despise uptown, midtown, Brooklyn, and Queens. |
| Interests | Why am I filling this out? I don't list any of this on Facebook, so it's kind of cathartic to think about and write down my interests and favorite books, movies, etc. I played lacrosse in college but have no time for that anymore. I play league basketball at Chelsea Piers but it's hard to even make those games given my schedule. I'd like to play golf but in addition to my schedule, I don't have a million bucks to join Liberty National so golf is too far away to make it a reasonable interest for me to have. So basically my interests are my wife, my 2 young sons, and my work (I try to keep them in that order but it's hard). Getting good sleep, eating clean, and working out when I can are my favorite things to do. |
| Favorite movies | Godfather I, II; Devil's Advocate, Apollo 13, Star Wars, Empire Strikes Back, Lord of the Rings trilogy, Indiana Jones, Jurassic Park, Exorcist, Life is Beautiful, Braveheart, Deer Hunter, Dazed and Confused, Wolf of Wall Street, Back to the Future, Blazing Saddles, Airplane!, Matrix, Blade Runner, Ferris Bueller, Dune. As you can see, I'm not an art house goon. |
| Favorite music | I'm a white guy from the 'burbs, so of course I like mid-late 90s rap. |
| Favorite books | All of Hemingway (Nick Adams Stories particularly), The Great Gatsby, quite a lot of Shakespeare (honestly), All of Cormac McCarthy (particularly The Road and Blood Meridien), 12 Rules for Life, The Dark Tower Series, Watchmen, The Diamond Age, Cryptonomicon, Snow Crash, Quicksilver, Anathem - everything by Neal Stephenson that isn't Seveneves or Zodiac. Kipling is my favorite poet. |
