| Introduction | Antoine de Saint-Exupery wrote, “He who would travel happily must travel light.” I am a notable pack-rat, someone who knows how to pack the most stuff into the smallest spaces. But traveling light isn’t about maximizing space – it’s about learning what is essential for living well and discovering what we can afford to live without. It's about letting go of the big - and little - stuff that weighs us down, and holding on to the things that really matter. This philosophy isn’t just useful for travel, it’s also applicable to how we live. When we try to pack in too much to our lives we get stressed out with worries, distracted, burdened, and exhausted. Sometimes we hold on to the wrong things, or love things in the wrong way. Traveling light is something we learn to do. And learning to travel light can be a journey of its own. |
