Introduction | How do I describe Aydan? In a word “delightful”. Oh, he’s your typical autistic kid, tantrums, self injury, and horrible sleeper but nevertheless there is a warm glow that surrounds him. He is and has always been since the day he was born a person that possesses this ability to make those around him feel good inside. A typical response from one of his therapist is “Aydan bit me today… I just love him.” What can I say… there’s something about him. He’s smart, clever, affectionate, sweet… autistic. There’s so much inside this little boy that needs to come out. He has limited language, several self stimulatory behaviors and is in constant motion. He loves physical play, swimming, climbing and the outdoors. He feels at home in nature, on the beach and loves animals. To know him, is to love him and I’m not just saying that. |
