| Introduction | I first started this blog to express my grief after the loss of my daughter, Caroline, who was born still on October 23, 2007. I thought it was simply a place I could 'go' to get my feelings out. It has become so much more. I have found mothers who are just like me, whose words lifted me up when I needed it most. If it wasn't for them, I am not sure I would have had hope to try again. My son, Brooks, was born on April 6th, 2009 and I am now using this blog to share our life with him. I changed the title of my blog from "Emerging from the Cocoon" to "Emerged from the Cocoon" after his birth.
