Introduction An old man living out the remainder of his days on an island off the coast of New England, born and raised in New England, a veteran of the US Army and beneficiary of an Ivy League education. After an undistinguished career in a New England state government and with a pension and health insurance benefits conferred upon him by the taxpayers of that state, which is not his home state, retired to still another New England state, specifically this island paradise. With his wife of many years he makes his home in a small house built on a gravel island in the midst of a spruce bog. He enjoys hiking the island's many hills and biking its beautiful roads. Contact with other humans is maintained through volunteering, helping volunteers to savor the island's scintillating daylife. My character is influenced by the history of New England and another island across the sea long governed by Olde England. The environment, urban, mostly suburban, and exurban, is also a major influence.
Interests Hiking, travel, snow shoeing, research
