| Introduction | I am 65, post-menopausal, and a retired nurse. My partner and I are travelling around Australia and living life to the full. I have decided to expose myself as I am disturbed to see so many women suffering unduly simply because they no longer have functioning ovaries. Am I qualified to advise? Professionally, I come from a strong nursing background across many disciplines over 40 years including chronic pain and have an abiding interest in health and well being. As you can appreciate I have witnessed a lot of trauma and adversely affected lives, not least of which is my observation of post-menopausal women whose lives are wasting away for no real reason and I am convinced that my experience could have helped many of them. Personally, I went through menopause at 24 years of age thanks to radiation treatment for Hodgkins Disease. With "well cooked" ovaries, I had no choice but to go on hormonal replacement to slow down the development of osteoporosis and other associated diseases. It's been a long, and often difficult road travelled and one I wish to share with you now as things can be much better than you think. So please, read my story..... my present to you. |

| Favorite Books | Like my music, it varies. I love a good romance just like any gal! But I love to read also non-fiction and new age, bibliographies and travel books. |
