| Introduction | I have been in public service for over 42 years. Currently in my 5th term as a State Representative in the Illinois General Assembly. Elected as the Democratic nominee for a 6th term in the March 21, 2006 Democratic Primary election. Recently, I decided to retire at the end of my current term which ends in January, 2007. I plan to remain very active in state and local politics and policy issues I deeply care about. |
